A quick landing provides advantages when starting a match in Call of Duty: Warzone. So how about landing without opening the annoying parachute? MeinMMO has a little trick for you – but beware: This is not for the faint of heart.
What does a quick landing bring in Warzone? Many players have their favorite spots in the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone. If these are popular places that are also frequented by other players, you need to get to the ground quickly to secure an advantage.
Then you can already open a loot box for weapons or take the first shots at an enemy who is still leisurely gliding down with the parachute behind you.
To land faster, we recommend disabling the automatic parachute opening in our special on the best Warzone settings. With a little trick, you can take this mechanic to the next level and no longer need to open the parachute at all. MeinMMO will show you how this works.
Warzone: Landing Zone Satellite Dish
How can I land safely without a parachute? You can use satellite dishes that are found all over the Verdansk map. If you hit the right spot on the satellite dish when you land, you will survive your fall and be ready for action.
The receiving devices are generously spread across the map. If there is a larger house at your spot, you can often find a satellite dish on the roof. There are particularly many dishes in “Downtown”, the city center area of Warzone in Verdansk.
How exactly does this work? To survive the fall, you need to land directly on the parabola. That’s the rounded part that makes the receivers look like a dish.
If you hit the edge, land on the feedhorn, or the struts holding the feedhorn, the full force of the fall will hit you. However, if you hit the rounded, concave part, it will slow down your fall and allow you to survive the action.
MeinMMO tried the trick and needed a few attempts – but with a bit of practice, the landing can be planned and the trick is definitely useful. reddit shows how it looks:
Practice Improves Reception
How should I best use this? Keep an eye out for the dishes in your matches and remember the positions at spots where you frequently land.
As long as you don’t know the positions very well, you can look for the dark dishes in situations where you land far from the flight path of the starting plane, saving you the parachute when landing.
Once you know the dishes better, you can also dive directly from the plane onto the receivers. However, the risk is high that you won’t land properly on the dish and go down.
In general, we recommend practicing the landing on the dishes in a fun match or a round of Plunder beforehand. After a few attempts, you should have the hang of it and can gain a significant advantage over players who pull the parachute a few meters above the ground.
The time you save is minimal. However, starting in an area with many enemies, that small lead can make all the difference. Always weigh the risk and reward beforehand – the more you practice, the lower the risk. But just landing without a parachute is usually not a good idea.
