The MMORPG Kritika Online closed its doors in April 2019. It actually failed miserably in the West. But dead men tell no tales. That’s why a reboot of the online game is now surprisingly planned.
What was Kritika Online? The online game wanted to distinguish itself from other MMOs through non-stop action. You could jump directly from a lobby into the relatively short, action-packed missions.
There was no open world, only missions where you had to fight hard. In these, you defended yourself with characters of different classes.
When did it come to an end and why? The end occurred on April 30, 2019. It simply could not reach the number of players necessary for long-term operation.
Reboot with new features
What has changed now? The page Kritika:REBOOT started on Facebook. It says that a new edition of the game is planned. Kritika is coming back!
What has changed in the game? As the gamemaster RUKA explains, the reboot will undergo a number of changes. These include:
- Kritika:REBOOT will get a new UI
- The game will launch with the classes Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Scyther, Noblia, and Monk
- There will be side quests for the individual classes
- The rewards will be revised: Most items can be traded among players, and you can find almost all items in the game
What is the biggest innovation? The controversial stamina system will be abolished. Until now, your hero only had a certain amount of stamina. Once this was spent, it affected further adventures. You received fewer rewards in the missions until you either bought a stamina potion in the ingame shop or rested for several hours.
With the new system, there are no longer any disadvantages if your stamina is depleted. The developers will reveal what this system looks like soon.
Launch is very soon
When does Kritika:REBOOT start? The restart of the action MMO is planned for this November. The team wants to announce an exact date later. Mid-November is currently targeted. It is quite possible that Steam will be used as a platform, but this has not been confirmed.
How is the idea of a new edition received? Kritika Online was not a bad MMO, as you can also read in our preview test. It just offered too little to many, and the stamina system annoyed.
On Facebook, there are many positive voices regarding the announcement of Kritika:REBOOT. Fans are looking forward to being able to play the MMO again.
- Miguel Fernando writes: “I just love this game so much!”
- Guilherme Bonades IBagualizadorl says: “Great news. I just hope the new version doesn’t have the same problems as the previous one.”
