These 5 things indicate that Destiny 2 will be released for PC
While there is still no definitive answer from Activision, almost everything we’ve heard recently clearly points in that direction.
- The US site Kotaku writes, citing an insider source, that Destiny 2 is coming for PC. Kotaku has always been right in the past with such statements based on sources from within Destiny. There has always been something to it. There’s no reason to really doubt it this time.
- In addition, Activision’s Erik Hirshberg mentioned in the earnings call that the global reach of the franchise is to be increased. Destiny 2 should be accessible to even more people. One reads a new beginning from his statements. All of this are signs for a port of the successful shooter to PC.
- Also, a job posting some time ago backs this up. Bungie was specifically looking for an employee necessary for such PC ports – a PC Compatibility Tester.
- Furthermore, there are now officially two other studios besides Bungie working on Destiny. Allegedly, there might even be more. It’s quite possible that one of them is preparing the PC port.
- Even before the launch of Destiny, there were indications that a PC version was planned. In the contract of Activision with Bungie, there is a clause that provides for such a port for Destiny 2.
