The gameplay principle of Destiny is well-received not only by players but also by developers, which is why more and more studios want to jump on this bandwagon. The next game could come from Remedy in Finland. Currently, it is codenamed P7.
A recent job posting from Remedy, known for Max Payne and Quantum Break, now suggests that these developers are also working on a Destiny competitor.
Remedy is looking for Game Designers with experience in Destiny or PUBG
The job posting has an interesting wording that hints at the type of game being developed:
“Do you constantly think about amazing ways to engage players and keep them in your game world? Are you obsessed with lore and rich content that the community devours? Do you create challenging systems that make players ‘thirst for more,’ so that they plan their entire week around these systems? Have you designed the next battle royale? Are you among the first to find Xûr?”
Xûr is an exotic vendor in the Destiny universe, thus making a direct reference to Bungie’s MMO shooter.
The job is for a “Game Designer (World Systems)” in Finland and promises 5 weeks of paid vacation in a country with affordable prices.

There is talk of innovative online modes and trends. Additionally, the employee is expected to keep the design team informed about trends and innovations in the online gaming sector.
Interestingly, Remedy has only worked on single-player titles so far. However, the development studio seems to have recognized the signs of the times and wants to enter the online gaming market now.
The requirement for the new employee to be familiar with elements from Destiny and battle royale games indicates that the upcoming title might head in this direction.
Remedy is known for great stories – What is P7?
Remedy has already proven it can tell exciting stories and incorporate plenty of action into its games. How they will connect that with an online game will certainly be highly interesting.
When we will learn more about the new game is still unknown. However, it is expected to use the same engine that made Quantum Break a visual treat. It is set to be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The new game currently has the codename “P7” – it is the seventh project of the studio.
