The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) will soon receive a new chapter addon. So far, no further details have been provided, but a mysterious tweet from the developers could hint at an upcoming announcement regarding the new expansion. On Wednesday, the next chapter is set to be revealed in a livestream.
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is supposed to receive three DLCs and one larger addon, referred to as a chapter, each year. The first DLC titled “Dragon Bones” is already out. So the next one should be the new chapter. However, there have been no updates from the developers at Zenimax.
Rather, dataminers have been rummaging through the code of The Elder Scrolls Online and seem to have found clues about the Summerset Isles and the Psijic Order.

The Summerset Isles are the homeland of the Altmer, the High Elves of the Elder Scrolls universe. These pointy-eared beings are considered arrogant and xenophobic. Entry to their core lands is usually strictly regulated.

However, the young Queen Ayrenn is seen as liberal and tolerant. Therefore, a letter from the monarch on Twitter gives hope to all those who would like to visit Summerset.
The tweet shows a scroll indicating that Ayrenn is hinting at an upcoming royal proclamation.
Location of the new chapter in Summerset?
As mentioned, the Summerset Isles are currently rarely accessible, and since Ayrenn is the queen and ruler of these islands, it can be assumed that she will allow selected heroes to travel to her homeland with her decree.
A similar text has already been found in the game by dataminers. Additionally, there are hints about the mysterious Psijic Order and a threat from the Daedra. Whether the Psijic mystic will become a separate class or “just” another faction skill path, however, remains unclear.
We should learn more when Queen Ayrenn’s proclamation finally appears. So keep an eye on Twitter. If the location of the new ESO chapter is known, you will, of course, hear about it here as well!
Major revelation on March 21
Update: Zenimax has tweeted again. This time, a date was mentioned for a major revelation during a live stream. The related page states:
“New adventures await beyond the horizon. A major announcement about The Elder Scrolls Online is coming that you won’t want to miss.”
In English, it says “Explore the next chapter” – a clear hint at the next expansion.
On March 21, 2018, at 9:00 PM, the Twitch channel of Bethesda will go live.
