Kit Harington, who played the role of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, once revealed a big series secret to avoid getting a ticket.
At the end of Season 5 of Game of Thrones, Jon Snow is sneakily stabbed by men of the Night’s Watch. As viewers, we see him lying dead in the snow.
Even a lead writer of Game of Thrones tried to convince the audience that Jon Snow was definitively dead, as you can read here from our colleagues at Filmstarts.
However, many fans couldn’t believe that this was really the end of the character and feverishly speculated about Jon Snow’s further fate.
In the talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 14, 2016, actor Kit Harington told how he once revealed the big series secret about his character to avoid a ticket.

Kit Harington recounted that the screenwriters made it clear to him that he couldn’t tell anyone that Jon Snow is alive again in Season 6. Only a small group of people in charge of the series knew at that time about the character’s fate.
“You can’t tell your mother, you can’t tell your father, you can’t tell your brother, you can’t tell your friends. No one,” they said to him according to Kit Harington.
However, the actor immediately told his parents.

When asked whether no one else knew about Jon Snow’s fate, the actor admitted that his girlfriend knew as well.
Kit Harington expands a bit on this and confesses: “A few people knew it pretty quickly.” But they were all close people.
No stranger would have found out… except for one policeman. On his way back from his parents, Harington was driving a bit too fast and was subsequently stopped by a policeman.
The actor was then faced with a choice:
You can either follow me to the police station, where I will take down your name, or you can tell me if you are alive in the next season of Game of Thrones […]
I must tell you that it depends on your answer whether I take you to the police station.

Initially, Kit Harington thought it was a joke and laughed. However, when he saw the serious face of the policeman, he hesitantly replied: “I am alive in the next season.”
Expressionless, the policeman nodded at this answer. Then he said: “Drive on, Lord Commander. Keep the speed low so far south of the Wall.”
