A new wave of Pokémon from the 4th generation is available in Pokémon GO! In total, there are 16 new Pokémon. We will tell you what’s new.
These new Pokémon have arrived: On May 17th around 10 PM, a new wave of Pokémon surprisingly came in. Among them were the two Eevee evolutions and the Dragon Pokémon Garchomp.
The Pokémon are available in various ways. We will tell you where to find which Pokémon.
These 16 Pokémon are new in the game
These are all the new Pokémon: Here follows a list of all the new Pokémon known so far. They have been sighted by players all over the world.
The list may still change. Some Pokémon could still appear in the wild but have not been found yet.
- Kigugi (in the wild)
- Kinoso (two different forms can be found in the wild)
- Schalellos (two different forms can be found in the wild)
- Gastrodon (only through evolution from Schalellos)
- Burmy (three different forms can be found in the wild)
- Burmadame (only through evolution from female Burmy)
- Moterpel (only through evolution from male Burmy)
- Kaumalat (in the wild)
- Knarksel (through evolution, in the wild)
- Knakrack (only through evolution from Knarksel)
- Hippopotas (in the wild)
- Hippoterus (only through evolution)
- Voluminas (only through evolution from Nasgnet)
- Magnezone (only through evolution from Magneton)
- Folipurba (only through evolution from Eevee)
- Glaziola (only through evolution from Eevee)
The different forms of the Pokémon: In this wave, some Pokémon that appear only under specific weather conditions have come into play. For example, Kinoso appears in sunny form when it is sunny in the game. The normal form of Kinoso appears in overcast weather.
Burmy has three different forms. Research is still ongoing about how the Pokémon spawn in the wild. Each form of Burmy has a different type.
Are there Shiny Hippopotas? Some players report two different forms of Hippopotas. However, one form is not Shiny. Male and female Hippopotas and Hippoterus differ significantly in their color. However, there is no Shiny variant yet.
