The missing game Kingdom under Fire 2 was now playable on Playstation 4 for the first time. A trailer shows the monsters and armies in action.
Kingdom under Fire 2 was supposed to create a stir a few years ago: 10,000 units simultaneously on one screen, action and strategy mixed, great graphics, that caused quite a buzz back then – but nothing came of it. The game is currently only running on a few servers in Southeast Asia and on PC – and even there it’s tight. The local publisher is pulling out of the PC market.
For some time now, developer Blueside has been drumming up interest: wants to make a global attack on the Playstation 4, gives interviews repeatedly, showcases the game, wants to stay in the conversation. The last date mentioned, “Summer 2015” passed without any major news. They actually wanted to release on the PS4, achieve massive success as a free-to-play title, and position themselves at the forefront of a movement.
A glimmer of hope: At the last fair in Korea, the G-STAR 2015, the game was reportedly playable on the Playstation 4 for the first time and there was a new trailer. It’s still impressive to see what there is, and it explains why there is still a stir around the game.
