On November 14, the time has come – Kingdom Under Fire 2 launches. The game is supposed to be a mix of MMORPG and RTS. We will show you how much strategy is involved in the new role-playing game.
More than 10 years after the announcement, Kingdom Under Fire 2 will be released on November 14. The sequel to the Korean online game aims to combine two genres. MMORPG meets the strategy elements of an RTS.
What does RTS mean? The abbreviation RTS stands for “real-time strategy.” Real-time means that it does not take place turn-based, but depends on your timing. You need to try to approach the battle wisely and deploy your characters at the right moment in the right place.
(Not) a classic MMORPG
In Kingdom Under Fire 2, you choose one of 5 classes and embark on the wide world. Along the way, you level up and improve your skills. You can also quest and craft – quite classic. But is it really so?
These elements deviate from the classic RPG: With the criteria just mentioned, Kingdom Under Fire 2 definitely goes in the MMORPG direction. However, it doesn’t stop there. You can also unleash your inner strategist in epic battles. You can control other troops along with your hero, just like in an RTS.
Battle with multitasking
