Tip 8: Earn money at the beginning
Especially at the beginning of the adventure, you have to make do with very little money. You can quickly earn some cash through the dice game for an overnight stay, for example. Also, pack everything you can collect without stealing – in a rented tavern room, you often find some food and bandages.
Steal only when no one is watching! You should attempt to stash stolen goods in your horse’s saddlebags, as the guards do not search there. Position yourself next to your horse and then move items from your inventory to the horse.
Also, use the horse as an expanded inventory, as your storage space is very limited. You can also call your steed to you at any time with a button press. On PC, this is done with the X key.
When it comes to selling, always use the bartering option to get a better deal for yourself. Be careful: If you overdo it, merchants will lose interest in bargaining. Also, note that each merchant can only pay a limited amount of money. After some time, however, they receive more money that you can negotiate.

Tip 9: Alchemy and blacksmithing are worthwhile
Take the time for alchemy and blacksmithing. On the one hand, because you need both crafts for various quests – for example, when you have to craft a specific weapon or horseshoe for a quest giver.
On the other hand, your adventure becomes noticeably easier if you can produce healing potions and Retterschnaps in bulk, effectively repair your equipment, and earn additional money with the produced goods.
Tip 10: Get a shovel
Lastly, a tip that can save you a lot of life time. If you come across a shovel, take it with you and stow it in your horse’s saddlebags. For some quests, you will need to dig. Additionally, in the game world, you may stumble upon places like graves that can be uncovered with a shovel. It may sound disrespectful, but it can reveal valuable treasures.
