Kingdom Come 2 shows in the new story trailer that you can be quite evil

The release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is drawing closer. A new story trailer sets a dark tone, even for Heinrich personally.

What kind of game is this? Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an open-world role-playing game from the Czech developer Warhorse Studios. It is a direct sequel to the first part, which was celebrated by fans for its realism and atmospheric portrayal of late medieval Bohemia.  

In a new story trailer, the developers provide a closer look at the main story.

Desire for revenge and moral choices

What does the trailer show? Right at the beginning, it becomes clear that Heinrich is struggling with inner demons. His already deceased adoptive father asks him if this is really what he wants: to kill other people to avenge his killed family.

While the predecessor told a fairly classic hero’s story, the question of morality is likely to become more important in Kingdom Come 2: Is revenge really the only way? And how far would one go for revenge?

The trailer definitely suggests that Heinrich can go quite far in dire situations – provided you want him to. Fans on YouTube appreciate the dark approach to a revenge story. In the comments below the trailer, they write:

• markmitin7397: “Honestly, it looks like this game will be much darker than the previous one. The theme of how far you are willing to go for revenge. And I’m all for it, it’s dark and will make Henry more human when he does some questionable things to achieve his goals.”

Meanwhile, the main story continues in the background. The rebellion led by Sigismund against King Wenzel is escalating, the trailer shows sieges and a burning city. It seems that Kingdom Come 2 is set to raise the bar even higher in terms of action.

When is the game coming out? The release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance has actually been moved up. On February 4, 2025, it will be here, a week earlier than previously planned.
