US television star Jimmy Kimmel is known for his somewhat sadistic experiments on children. He has now encouraged parents to turn off the TV while their kids are in the middle of a game of Fortnite.
Here was the challenge: Jimmy Kimmel asked parents on his late-night TV show to sneak up on their children while they are playing Fortnite and turn off the TV.
Parents were supposed to film the reactions of the little ones with a phone or a camera.
The action was planned specifically one week after the start of Season 7 in Fortnite because the show’s team assumed that many children would be playing Fortnite then.
It is known that kids are crazy about Fortnite, even though the age rating for Fortnite does not actually recommend the game for very young children.
Here are the children’s reactions: The show’s team then selected the best submissions and edited them into a approximately 3-minute video.
The reactions of the kids range from bewilderment to crying fits to sheer horror. Some curses also escape the delicate mouths of children.
However, there is also an older kid who handles the situation calmly and talks relatively soberly with his father about it, while others wildly hit the camera.
These are the highlights:
- The funniest part of the video is perhaps the image of a mother fiddling with the TV, unable to find the off-switch. This gets the most laughs from the audience – apparently, many can relate to this.
- The boy who looks at his father with amusement and finally tells him: “Why don’t you go cook!” is also very well received.
These are the reactions to the video: The video is being discussed on Twitter. Many users are shocked at how poorly behaved the children are.
A woman says: “If I had said the F-word to my mother as a child, I would have received 60 years of house arrest.”
Another says: “The only funny reaction was the boy who told his father to cook. All the others were just sad. Such young children shouldn’t be playing Fortnite, especially not when they behave like spoiled brats.”
Does Kimmel do this often? In fact, the idea for the “Fortnite” challenge is a variation of another bit that Kimmel has established. In that one, parents pretend to have eaten all their children’s candy on Halloween.
You can also see what kind of curses the little people have.
Isn’t that sadistic? Kimmel’s challenges are controversial. While many laugh their heads off and are gleeful, there are others who do not think it’s good at all and fear that the children could be traumatized.
