However, when they saw that hundreds of dollars were going to Epic Games’ account, they realized that their son could be involved.
This is what the parents did: The parents then contacted the developers of Fortnite via email and tried to explain the situation. They wanted to get their money back. However, Epic did not respond.
They then wrote to a state consumer protection agency in North Carolina under the Attorney General to try to get the money back.

For missing emails, the customer support from Epic has already received a “6” rating from an agency.
