During the Corona lockdown, a group of teenagers comes together in Fortnite and spontaneously throws a cool in-game birthday party for a young gamer, who would otherwise have to do without a celebration. A mother is so proud that she says: “Video games? Damn right!”
What is behind the gesture? Fortnite is not exactly known for its nice community. But a cool gesture from some teenagers proves that not everything is as toxic as some claim.
As a mother reports in a total of 12 tweets, a touching action of her son and his friends towards a younger gamer in Fortnite filled her with pride – and even brought her to tears.
Spontaneous Birthday Party for a 10-Year-Old During Lockdown
What exactly did the teenagers do? Tiffany Pitts’ son, the reporting mother, is currently regularly playing video games with his friends during the Corona lockdown.
Recently, he was in Fortnite with 5 of his buddies when they encountered the player JamMaster. The mother recalls that he was very relaxed. After the teenagers played together with JamMaster for a while, they found out that he was just before his 11th birthday. The next day was supposed to be the big day.
Normally, that is an exciting day for any boy his age. But JamMaster would have to spend his birthday alone in Fortnite without friends and without a party because of the lockdown.
It was immediately clear to the teenagers: They couldn’t and wouldn’t let that happen. And so they quickly organized their own in-game party for JamMaster.
This is how the in-game party went: They took the young gamer on “various adventures,” fought together with him, and gave him all their loot. All to make him happy and keep him awake until midnight. Then the whole group sang “Happy Birthday”.
This is what the proud mother says: Tiffany Pitts was so proud and happy about it that she even had to cry.
For the group around her son managed to give another boy a wonderful day that he will likely remember for a long time.
Additionally, this action also left an extremely positive impression regarding video games and the people who play them on the mother.
Thus, the proud mother ended the story of the now 11-year-old and her son’s group with the words: “What a rollercoaster of emotions. What an experience. What a great thing for a young gamer. Conclusion: Video games? Damn right!”
While many parents worry when their kids play Fortnite, there are also actions that show that online games can provide a positive experience.
What do you think about the action? Have you ever organized something similar for others in video games? By the way, recently a 9-year-old player made headlines around Fortnite: 9-Year-Old Banned from Fortnite for 4 Years, Cries – 100,000 Want to Free Him
