The German comedian Kaya Yanar (47) is now a successful Twitch streamer. Since January 2020, he has been on air twice a week and has had some success. In GTA 5 , he plays a role and appears as one of his characters from the cult series “Was guckst du?”
Many know Kaya Yanar from this show: The 120-episode comedy show “Was guckst du?” aired from 2001 to 2005 on Sat1. Yanar portrayed several characters in the show that became famous. Their most well-known quotes were winged words of their time:
- Hakan, an aggressive Turkish bouncer with the cult phrase “Hey, you can’t come in here”
- Ranjid: a somewhat naive Indian
- Francesco: a hot-blooded but somehow unsuccessful Italian with the ladies
This is Kaya Yanar as a gamer: What many don’t realize: Kaya Yanar has been a gamer since childhood and is into online games. For instance, he has been playing the Elder Scrolls series since 1994 and was there at the release of The Elder Scrolls Online in 2014.

Yanar brings to life his characters from the “Was guckst du” times in his streams. In a GTA5 stream, he showed, for example, as Hakan, that he is fireproof.
Especially in GTA5, there are always strange situations which Yanar spontaneously reacts to. This entertains his viewers.
The comedian’s private life is well received
His viewers also appreciate how Yanar behaves outside of the gaming streams. When he observes a love message from his wife, he seems to almost melt away.
