Do you really have to play the campaign completely alone?
The leaked guide stated about the campaign, which will consist of a “single-player set of missions” – a set of missions designed for single players.
Apparently, some misunderstood this information and understood it to mean that you must play the Destiny 2 campaign only solo and cannot be with friends. If they want to play with them, they think they have to play the campaign a second time.
Destiny 2: Can you play this solo or do you even have to?
This assumption has prompted the chief producer of Destiny 2 to respond. Mark Noseworthy declared the assumption to be “absurd.” Only the initial moments are to be played solo to fully support the story. After that, you can team up with your friends and take out aliens.
So, the principle remains that we already know from Destiny 1: You can play Destiny 2 solo up to the endgame. But you don’t have to. You can also team up with your friends.
