Observant players have discovered that there are no vending machines in the new snow area of Fortnite: Battle Royale. How could this happen? The reason is as simple as it is curious! The vending machines were simply forgotten.
What are vending machines? Vending machines can hold various items that players can acquire in exchange for resources.
Even very rare weapons and items can be found in these vending machines. Those equipped with the necessary resources can gain a significant advantage this way.
Where are the vending machines in the snow biome? With the major update 7.0 and the accompanying start of Season 7, a new snow landscape has been added that stretches across the western part of the map.
Basically, all known objects can be found in this new part of the map – except for vending machines. The Redditor Krazyflips noticed the absence of the vending machines and opened a corresponding post on Reddit.
How does Epic respond to the absence of vending machines? The post quickly gained quite a bit of attention, even Epic responded! The reason for the absence of vending machines is as simple as it is funny: Epic simply forgot them and isn’t shy about admitting it:
In other words: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Yeah, we simply forgot the vending machines.
Will the vending machines be added later? Yes, as Epic employee Spazinski further explains, the vending machines are expected to be added to the snow biome with update 7.20.
Community celebrates Epic: The reason for the absence of the machines is so absurd that Epic is celebrated for its openness. Not many developers would admit to simply “forgetting” a relevant feature in their game. The mistake is also being fixed in one of the upcoming updates.
