Huge hype two years ago around Pokémon GO: In summer 2016, the augmented reality app Pokémon Go broke all records. Your goal is to shoot the beasts with arrows from a drone. By doing so, you harvest dino DNA. The better you shoot, the more DNA you get. From the DNA, you can eventually clone your own dino, which you can then train as a battle beast.

Turn-based battles: With your dino group, you then choose other players as opponents and compete against their prehistoric creature team. In turn-based battles, you try to achieve victory and become the best dino tamer in the world. Those who only want to collect dinos will also get their money’s worth. The depiction of the animals in the game is extremely detailed. Fans of prehistoric reptiles can thus enjoy hours watching a small dino toddle across their living room table.
Competition for Pokémon?
Jurassic World Alive is available as a free app for Android and iOS devices. The app is financed through real-money transactions. Additionally, there is a kind of VIP subscription for 9.99 euros per month. With this, you receive special dinos and can use your drone longer and better.
To what extent it is fair or approaches pay-to-win will reveal time. So far, Jurassic World Alive makes a good impression, even though some players claim the gameplay of Pokémon Go is more sophisticated.
