Junge US-Teenager finden die Xbox cooler als die PlayStation

A study asked 1200 US teenagers and millennials about their preferences and brands. The Xbox comes out quite well, but it only leads with the youngest generation.

YouGov surveyed 400 teenagers of the “Generation Z” aged between 13 and 17. Generation Z is considered a generation that has grown up with the internet as a matter of course. They are also known as iGeneration or “Post-Millennials”. They were born after the year 2000. The teenagers of Generation Z, says the study, believe in brands that shape their world.

Additionally, 800 millennials were surveyed, who are aged between 18 and 25. They are called millennials because they were born in the period before the year 2000.

The survey primarily focused on brands. Where are the differences between the generations?

Generation Z: Xbox ahead of PlayStation

Among the “coolest brands”, the Xbox ranks 4th among Generation Z, ahead of the extremely cool brand “Oreo”, those cookies with milk filling.

In 7th place comes the PlayStation. But it still beats Doritos, a chip brand.

US teenagers see the Xbox as cooler than the PlayStation, no matter what sales figures say.
