Jhebbal Sag, the Lord of Beasts: In the religion of Jhebbal Sag, everything revolves around wild animals and nature. As a follower of Jhebbal Sag, you primarily work with the new companion system and gain advantages for hunting and taming wild animals.
Jhebbal Sag – Unlocking in the Midnight Grove
The new religion of Jhebbal Sag is not available to you like the other religions during character creation, as it was the case with the religion of Derketo. You must unlock it first.
To unlock it, you need to go to the new dungeon Midnight Grove and defeat “Jhebbal Sag’s Champion,” one of the bosses in the dungeon. The Midnight Grove is designed for several high-level players. How to gain access to the Midnight Grove, you can find out in our guide.
Once you have defeated the boss, you need to harvest his corpse – preferably with a pickaxe. You will then receive “Flesh of Remembrance.” Eating the flesh will teach you the recipe for the first tier of the altar of Jhebbal Sag.
Benefits for Followers of Jhebbal Sag
Religious Resource – Blood: To expand the temple further and for some of the recipes, you will need blood. Religious resources can be collected from defeated enemies, similar to other religions.
You need a “Bloodletter Knife” to do this. With the religious tool, you can collect blood from the corpses of defeated foes.
What benefits does Jhebbal Sag offer? As a follower of Jhebbal Sag, you are excellent hunters with many advantages for hunting and taming animals. You will receive a whole range of useful items:
- Bait to lure wild animals
- Night vision potions
- Signs of Jhebbal Sag
- Claws of Jhebbal Sag
- presumably the True Name of Jhebbal Sag
The signs of Jhebbal Sag leave a seal on the ground. If a wild, untamed animal steps on this seal, it will be sacrificed to Jhebbal Sag. If he likes your sacrifice, he will send you a champion that you must defeat. From the champions, you will receive resources for crafting more religious items.
Other religions offer the “True Name” of the god to summon the god’s avatar. It is already known that the avatar for Jhebbal Sag is available. So there will likely be a True Name as well. Jhebbal Sag’s avatar is a giant predator bird that you can fly over the battlefield.
Claws of Jhebbal Sag – unique weapons: The most significant feature of the religion of Jhebbal Sag is the claws that you can craft as a loyal follower. The claws are religious weapons and behave in combat somewhat like daggers.
However, they have a wholly unique attack style. When you wear the claws, you move crouched and stalking like a werewolf or a werehyena. The combos of the claws are unique and different from any other weapon implemented so far. In the video, you can take a closer look at the claws.
