The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) will receive the new expansion Summerset on June 5, 2018. However, on PC and Mac, you can already play the new chapter on the test server.
The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) will soon see the new chapter expansion Summerset. Originally, this next major chapter in the ESO storyline was set to release on June 5 (May 21 for PC and Mac users).
But those playing ESO on PC or Mac can, with a bit of luck, travel to the land of the arrogant snooty elves starting April 16 at 4:00 PM.
Summerset Beta on the Test Server for PC and Mac
The Summerset beta for The Elder Scrolls Online will start on the test server on April 16, 2018, at 4:00 PM our time. However, the beta on the PTS is not open to everyone. The developers will send out invitations to selected players.
However, those who participated in the test of the first chapter Morrowind last year are already unlocked now. Everyone else will have to rely on a bit of luck.
Everything Except the Main Story – These Are the Rules of the Summerset Beta
If you are among the lucky ones who can already sneak a peek at Summerset and the associated update 18, there are a few rules that apply to you:
- You must have signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
- This means you are not allowed to show any content that reveals the main story after the quest “The Queen’s Decree”
- A watermark will be displayed in the game. Zenimax will know if you violate the NDA and may take action against you!
- With the exception of the main quest line mentioned above, you can publish EVERYTHING ELSE (jewelry crafting, Psijic Order, new trials, etc.) as you wish, whether as a stream, recorded video, podcast, or image.
- The NDA is valid until May 1, after which you may share the main quest line.
The beta test is, of course, not just for fun. Zenimax welcomes feedback and bug reports. If you discover bugs or have comments, use the official ESO forum by Zenimax to report your findings.
