Fans with crazy talents and a lot of patience can be found in World of Warcraft! Although LEGO does not have licenses for the game, the brick artist Mark Erickson has recreated the city of Theramore.
LEGO instead of Minecraft! Theramore built from bricks
Who needs Minecraft when you have LEGO bricks? The fascination of the small, colorful bricks captivates adults and children alike.
The talented professional LEGO artist and passionate AFOL (= “Adult Fan Of LEGO”) Mark Erickson, alias Mark of Falworth, demonstrates his love for the bricks. He built all of Theramore – before the mana bomb hit.

You can view the entire photo series on his flickr profile here.
Over 50,000 pieces in the massive structure
The monstrous structure consists of around 55,600 bricks and is about 2 by 2 meters in size. He had no instructions – because LEGO does not hold licensing rights to Blizzard games. There is no step-by-step guide as there are for similarly large and official LEGO builds.
Each brick was placed and adjusted with skilled hands and a good memory. What came out of it is truly impressive. When comparing Erickson’s model to a screenshot, you can see that each brick is in the right place.

The brick variants of the designs from the game developers are only available through the American company Mega Bloks, which also caters to other video game franchises. Whether there will ever be LEGO sets for Warcraft, Starcraft, and Co. remains uncertain.
By the way, if you’re wondering what LEGO-Theramore looks like after the Horde’s attack…
