Sony releases an advertisement featuring a Japanese actor making impressive faces while imitating the monsters from Monster Hunter World for the PlayStation 4 .
A new advertisement for the PlayStation 4 is supposed to showcase how real the world of Monster Hunter World appears. One might expect that Sony would display particularly beautiful images from the game for this purpose.
Instead, the advertisement features Japanese actor Takayuki Yamada, who immerses himself heart and soul into the game. In the TV spot, a colleague tells Yamada that Monster Hunter World seems so real. With the words “Let’s have some fun,” Yamada dashes off and transforms into a gigantic Nergigante! At least in his imagination.
Like a child, the actor jumps around, imitating various monsters from the action RPG. After Yamada showcases his powerful Nergigante swing, he drags a rock in front of him and imitates the screeching Kulu-Ya-Ku.
For the fluffy Paolumu, a fan is used, meant to represent the warm winds of the Coral Highlands . In the end, Yamada even shows so much physical effort that he buries himself in the ground to emulate the Diablos, as this lizard likes to attack from underground.
Yamada has previously appeared in a brilliantly strange advertisement for Monster Hunter World.
