Jaina Proudmoore from WoW is causing a stir again. A new drawing could be Blizzard’s hint at the next expansion!
In recent weeks and months, there have been numerous hints about where the journey in the next expansion of World of Warcraft will go. After data miners already discovered that there is a new armor set in the game files that suspiciously bears the name suffix “Kul Tiras”, numerous ideas for the possible seventh expansion of WoW emerged.
Now these theories have been further fueled – directly by Blizzard.
Jaina will be the key art for WoW
Through Twitter, Blizzard has introduced the key art for World of Warcraft. The “key art” is essentially the representative image of a franchise, used to portray a specific game in the media.
For World of Warcraft, they have chosen the infamous mage Jaina Proudmoore, who is evidently casting a spell or holding a small magical artifact in her hands.
Jaina has been notably inconspicuous in Legion. Since the Council of Six decided to welcome the Horde back in Dalaran, she has left the city of mages. So far, she has not reappeared in Legion, which fuels wild theories that she is presently on her way in her homeland – Kul Tiras.
However, BlizzCon 2017 will not take place until November – so it will take a while.
Mein-MMO thinks: It’s a perfect fit for Jaina to adorn the key art of WoW – but that could also be a typical “Blizzard move.” In the past, they have often deliberately misled fans. However, this time too many details suggest that there is some truth to these theories. This ranges from in-game references from bosses to information from datamining.
However, one must also remember that Legion came completely unexpectedly and no one had anticipated it.
