After the release of update 1.09 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare , data miners discovered fresh entries that came with the new patch – including hints at a popular multiplayer map that could soon make its return.
What is the new update about: After Modern Warfare already received a small server-side fix earlier this week, yesterday, on November 22, the highly anticipated big update 1.09 was released.

The update brought several new contents to the game and addressed numerous issues in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The new patch also gave data miners new material to work with, who immediately struck gold and uncovered some interesting details.
What did the data miners discover? In addition to the animated logo for the Season 1 Battle Pass, which is set to be released in December, there were new entries for two upcoming multiplayer DLC maps:
- Crash
- Cargo
Both maps had already been discovered earlier in the context of the big leak with 38 maps and 23 modes, but this time, there was a first image of Cargo. As for Crash, it looks like the popular map from the first Modern Warfare installment could come to the game quite soon.
However, do keep in mind: These are leaks and unconfirmed speculations. There are no official statements from the developers yet.
Crash – popular map from Modern Warfare 1
What we know about Crash: Crash is an iconic map from Modern Warfare 1 and is considered one of the most popular maps in the Modern Warfare series by many fans. This map will likely be introduced in the form of a remastered version in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019.
That it could happen quite soon is indicated by the latest find from Redditor Senescallo, a data miner who has leaked numerous details about Modern Warfare – including about the battle royale mode.
This person discovered only one type of loading screen for the map that came into the game with the update, which some interpret as a hint that it could happen soon – possibly in the upcoming Season 1, for which new data also came into the game with the update.
The image shows the iconic helicopter crash as well as the arrangement of buildings. The layout of the buildings largely corresponds to what fans and veterans know from the first Modern Warfare.
What we know about Cargo: There was now the first image of Cargo. The map takes place on a huge container ship – apparently also in the open cargo hold.
Some suspect that this could be a remake of the Wet Work map – also a popular map from Modern Warfare 1. After all, it is set on the deck of a cargo ship as well.
What we know so far about the upcoming Season 1: For the upcoming season, some new data were also included in the update. It looks like there will be 100 seasonal tiers and that these ranks can also be purchased with CoD Points.
In addition, the animated logo for the Season 1 Battle Pass has already been introduced to the game.
