In Fortnite, Chapter 2 has finally begun. But many have noticed that it’s now harder to level up the Battle Pass. It takes more than 1000 matches to reach Tier 100, as players have calculated. However, this weekend there is an XP boost that could help you.
The Chapter 2 of Fortnite is now playable. Players quickly realized that they take an extremely long time to level up in the Battle Pass.
How does the new level-up system work? In Fortnite’s new system, you earn experience points for in-game actions like:
- Opening chests
- Opening ammo boxes
- Eliminations
- Assists on eliminations
- Surviving
This is supposed to reward players with more XP in a match. Additionally, there are other ways to earn a lot of experience points:
- Medal Stamp Card Reward: You can also earn some medals if you land in the top 25 or achieve a certain number of eliminations. A full medal stamp card gives you 16,000 XP per day.
- Weekly Challenges Reward: If you complete all the challenges from the weekly tasks, you get a total of 154,000 XP per week.

It’s almost impossible to reach Tier 100
How long does it take to reach Tier 100? A news site for Fortnite: FortnitefeedBR posted on Twitter an image that shows how long it might take to reach Tier 100.
- The image explains that you need 80,000 XP for a level-up, totaling 8,000,000 XP to reach Tier 100.
- For the weekly challenges, you get a total of 1,260,000 XP for the entire season.
- The entire medal cards would give another 1,296,000 XP.
- You would still need 5,444,000 XP after that, and if you assume you earn 5,000 XP per match, you would have to play approximately 1,088 matches to reach Tier 100.
Power-Leveling Weekend
What is this Power-Leveling? With this Power-Leveling, you receive a boost that allows you to earn experience points faster and in greater amounts.
When is the XP boost available? This weekend starting Saturday, October 19, the boost will be available until you run out.
As soon as you log in today, the boost should be activated, and you can use it until it is depleted.
Less grind, more fun
What did Epic say about this new system? Epic Games presented the trailer for Chapter 2 of Fortnite, and their motto is: “More fun, less grind.” But is it really like that?
Epic has not yet commented on how this new system will progress. However, with the Power-Leveling weekend, they are catering to players.
We will see how it develops and hopefully receive a solution soon.
