What’s next for Anthem? Players are waiting for the next livestream and the first images of the upcoming update. However, BioWare is currently keeping it under wraps. They promise a livestream with more information, but not until next week.
What are players waiting for? Livestreams for Anthem have taken place periodically in the past. During these, the team showcased gameplay elements or new features that were being developed at the time. The streams occurred both before and after the launch of Anthem.
The last stream was supposed to take place exactly one week ago, on April 4th. But it was postponed because the team is currently working on the major April update.
According to the community manager, the developers wanted to have something to show, as he mentioned on Reddit.
However, players are still waiting in vain for the announcement of the next stream and the upcoming update. BioWare plans to reach out at the earliest next week.

Why is it quiet around the game? After the launch of Anthem, BioWare’s communication policy has changed. Before the game was released, the developers were often active on Reddit and social media to answer fans’ questions, but this has decreased since the release of Anthem.
Anthem was received rather mediocre on Metacritic. After the release, players also complained about bugs and issues, such as crashes on PS4.
The community manager also mentioned that the sentiment in the community used to be better, so the developers were more eager to engage with players. Respectful and constructive feedback is more likely to be answered by the team.
A week ago, the insider report on Anthem’s development by journalist Jason Schreier made waves. Since then, the developers have been even more reserved with their comments.

What are players saying? In the Anthem subreddit, posts keep appearing with the question of when the next stream will take place.
Players are also wondering when the next content update will arrive. Community manager Jesse Anderson indicated that they are aiming for the second half of April for new content.

Some players wish for regular updates from the developers again and draw comparisons to The Division 2 or Destiny 2. The Division has its regular State of the Game, and Bungie keeps Destiny fans updated with the “This Week at Bungie” blogs. They wish for something similar for Anthem.
When will it continue? After the stream was canceled last week, it seems to be quiet again this week.
The next stream could then take place next week. The community manager stated that they still need to finalize some details.
Finally, the former head of Anthem commented on the difficult launch:
