Launched in 2021, Amazon’s MMORPG New World transports you to the fictional island of Aeternum in the 17th century. What was initially planned as a survival MMO has developed into a genuine MMORPG, complete with everything MMORPG players love (and hate). There are valuable equipment, plenty of trading between players, dungeons, raids, PvP, and a large open world to explore.
However, a lively server is essential for enjoying New World, as most successes are experienced when the entire server is active and busy. That’s when New World reveals its true charm.
The expansion Rise of the Angry Earth has significantly expanded the game and provided more opportunities to have fun in the game world. Furthermore, this year saw a major overhaul of all aspects with the Aeternum version along with the release on consoles.

Who New World is worth it for: Amazon Games’ MMORPG offers an exciting setting, great audiovisual design, and a diverse amusement park full of content. And thanks to the Aeternum version, New World is comparatively lively again, which was quite different in the months prior.
You can even play on consoles. New World plays really well with a controller. However, do not expect a story juggernaut like Final Fantasy XIV or a combat system as satisfying as in Black Desert.
