Map changes before Season 10 in Fortnite at Loot Lake, Dusty Divot, Lazy Lagoon
What has changed at Loot Lake? In the middle of Loot Lake, the robot gathered its powerful energy in the fight against the monster. You can still find an energy ball there now.
No way to interact with the ball has been found so far. If you get too close, you will be shot into the air like with a geyser.
What has changed at Lazy Lagoon? At the location where the monster first emerged from the water, it unleashed a thick laser beam. Then it swept away a pirate camp with its left arm.
If you visit the camp now, it looks pretty demolished.
What has happened at Dusty Divot? Near Dusty Divot, the robot dealt the final blow to the monster. There you will now find the skeleton with the sword stuck in its head that the robot used in battle.
Players expected more changes – New map for Season 10
What were the expectations? Before the event, fans were very curious about what would happen to the map. It was already assumed days before the battle that the two giants – monster and robot – would fight each other.
Fans expected that the map would change significantly. They wished for more destruction. Some hope for a completely new map for Season 10.
“Epic should have really brought more map changes than these 3 small ones. Because it was a huge event, and that should also reflect in the map changes,” writes StriderElo on Reddit.
Are the big changes still to come?
In the Fortnite community, many players show understanding for the fact that the changes have been small so far. Because big changes would cause problems, as Reddit user _Derpy_Dino_ explains:
- Professionals would have to quickly adapt to a new map for the upcoming Fortnite World Championship

This gives hope: In the community, players often speak about hoping for major changes after the World Championship. “After all, that ball is still flying at Loot Lake,” it is said. Players believe that it could still cause significant damage after the professional tournament.
It is assumed that these small changes are merely forerunners of a significant map change and that much more is to come for the players.
