Call of Duty: Warzone 2 did not have a small map with the popular revival mode at release. Fans were concerned that it could take over half a year to see the first signs of it. However, a supposed map leak now offers hope.
With “Rebirth Island” and the revival modes, Call of Duty: Warzone has created a popular alternative to the regular battle royale games:
- The map was smaller
- Players respawned much more often and faster after a death
- Overall, the pace was higher, the combat distances shorter
With the introduction of the island map “Caldera”, many players shifted their battles to the smaller maps. Caldera was not well received by many – but those who wanted to continue grinding Warzone often went to Rebirth Island or the other small map Fortune’s Keep.
However, this is no longer possible with CoD: Warzone 2: On one hand, there are no small maps in Warzone 2, and on the other hand, the small maps are also not in the game after the re-launch of Warzone 1.
A supposed leak now, however, gives hope that there will be an alternative relatively soon. A possible Warzone map is making the rounds.
CoD Warzone 2: Resurgence before the return?
What kind of leak is this? It is not entirely clear where the map originated. Currently, there is discussion on whether it might be a fan creation and not official information. So keep some skepticism in the next lines. We cannot guarantee that the map is real:

The leak is currently considered credible, also because an important detail matches the current Warzone map “Al Mazrah”. There, you can see a small island off the coast towards south-southwest. On the small island, there is a castle – similar to the leaked map.
However, it is also possible that it is a fan creation and the creator is familiar with this view. So the castle was intentionally placed on the island.
However, many users are still positive in the thread about it on Reddit. The prospect of the near release of a revival map for Warzone 2 suppresses doubts for some.

What about Rebirth Island? Currently, there are no announcements about whether or how Rebirth Island will return to Warzone. There is also no information regarding the second small map, Fortune’s Keep.
That the popular revival modes will return is beyond doubt. However, we cannot currently provide more details.
Shortly after release, Warzone 2 is first in a sort of maintenance mode anyway, because there are many small problems, and there is a need for improvement in balancing: Perk in CoD Warzone 2 is way too strong, offers permanent drones – “Feels like cheating?”
