The “March of the Goblins” event in Diablo 4 has brought more treasure goblins to Sanctuary. However, the rarest among them still seems to be a myth. Many are convinced: He is the unicorn among goblins.
Loot goblins appear randomly in Diablo 4 and can drop some serious loot. Unlike almost all other enemies in Diablo, goblins do not fight, but run away. As part of the “March of the Goblins” event, Blizzard introduced six new types of goblins into the game in March 2025. Each of them has their special loot.
What kind of rare goblin is this? The rarest goblin is “Fedric the Shimmering Old”, who is guaranteed to have a Majestic Spark and a mythical item in his bag. The special treasure goblin shimmers purple-pink, the same color as Mythic Uniques. Since the new goblins have entered Diablo 4, players have been discussing Fedric. Many believe: This is probably the rarest enemy in video game history.

“I will probably see a yeti before this goblin”
This is what the community is currently discussing: Even after the last “March of the Goblins” in early August, the rare goblin is again a topic among the community. In a post on Reddit, the user gorays21 asks: “Now that the goblin event is over: Have you seen the mythical goblin?”
Some respond that they might have caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of their eye, but he is too fast to catch. Others believe that they probably confused him with “Murl the Curious”, a purple goblin who just drops Oboluses.
Some joke that they would rather see other rare phenomena in real life than this one rare treasure goblin. Below we summarize a few comments:

Many players praise on Reddit the frequency of goblins during the event and wish that it stays this way permanently, or that the “March of the Goblins” at least happens regularly. They say: This makes the open world much more fun.
Other users recall the achievement in Diablo 4, for which you are supposed to eliminate over 6 million treasure goblins.
