At the Ubiday in Japan, Massive has now talked about when to expect the beta for The Division 2. However, there will be no testing in 2018.
The Division 2 will have multiple betas. So far, a Closed Beta and a Private Beta are known. The start dates for these testing phases are still open.
Massive has now commented and confirmed that there will be no beta for The Division 2 in 2018.

Are the Betas coming just before the Release of The Division 2?
When can we expect the first beta? According to Massive, the tests will not start until Spring 2019. When exactly remains open.
Similar timelines as for the predecessor? The Division 2 is set to release on March 15, 2019. The predecessor had a similar date and was released on March 8, 2016.
The betas could therefore start with a similar lead time. The Closed Beta for The Division 1 started on January 29, 2016, and lasted for two days. The Open Beta followed on February 18 or 19 and lasted until February 21.
Whether it will happen the same way for The Division 2 is pure speculation, but not unlikely.
Open Beta not confirmed yet
Whether there will be an Open Beta is unknown. So far, only the Closed and Private Betas are known, for which certain requirements must be met.

These are the requirements for participating in the beta:
- Closed Beta: To participate, you must register on the official page and hope that you are selected when the time comes.
- Private Beta: For the Private Beta, you must preorder The Division 2. Which edition you choose is irrelevant in this case.
What comes first? In a State of the Game at the end of August, it was confirmed that the Private Beta will start before the Closed Beta.
