In Pokémon GO the last Spotlight Hour of the current month is coming up. What can you expect?
There’s quite a lot happening in Pokémon GO! The new season is already casting its shadows, the current month is coming to an end, the “Sunny Beaches” event is ongoing, and the level cap will also be adjusted. On top of that, today is the last Spotlight Hour in August.
When does the Spotlight Hour start? Today, on August 26 at 6:00 PM. It ends at 7:00 PM.
Which Pokémon will appear? Ferkuli will be available and can, with some luck, be caught in its shiny variant.
What bonus applies? You will receive double the amount of candy for Pokémon you send to the Professor. So, for example, you can send excess Pokémon that you caught during the Dyna finale over the weekend for more candy.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Ferkuli worth it?
Is Ferkuli strong? Unfortunately not, and its evolution Fragrunz doesn’t really shine with attack potential either. You can actually consider both as Dex entries. They are not worth it for raids, gyms, or the PvP league.
For collectors, there is at least the opportunity to chase the shiny. However, please note that the shiny rate is not increased. So, you’ll need a lot of luck to catch the Pokémon in its shiny form.
The bonus is nice, and as mentioned above, it’s probably quite useful after the intensive Dyna finale week for you.
Otherwise, you should also keep an eye on the current “Limited Research for the XP Celebration.” If you head out this evening to catch some Ferkuli, check your researches as well. There are plenty of tasks that should still grant you XP before the level system in Pokémon GO is changed.
