Should a 7-year-old child have access to age 18+ games when it happens under parental supervision? Tell us what you think about it.
Compared to other forms of entertainment, gaming is actually considered a relatively young hobby. However, among gamers, all age groups are now represented. From older people like us, who have been gaming for decades, to little kids who get into gaming at a very young age.
It also happens that gamer parents play one or another game together with their children on the PC or consoles, which in itself is a good thing. You have fun together and spend valuable time with each other.
The games played together can vary extremely. While some parents and their kids have a lot of fun with Mario Galaxy or Minecraft, others prefer to shoot enemies together in CoD. Such as with a father and his 7-year-old son, who activated a nuke together:
In such cases, playing together is often viewed critically, as children come into contact with games that are often far above the recommended age level. They do so in the presence of their parents, who play together with them.
What do you think about such situations? Is it okay for children aged 7-10 to play games like CoD, GTA V, or CS:GO when their parents are present?
