Destiny 2 may soon say goodbye to a complete location. Players have found new clues in-game that support this theory – but suddenly there seems to be no trace of it.
This is what the theory is about: MeinMMO already reported that the destruction of not just 2 locations could be imminent. The theory that Titan could even be completely destroyed was actually deemed quite unlikely.
But players have now found clues in the game itself that threaten to confirm the scenario.
This has now been found: Each location has an NPC who is the point of contact for the area and offers quests as well as planet-specific gear. On Titan, Sloane takes on this role. However, warnings have now appeared in her inventory, marking her items as only available for “Limited Time”:
This warning uses Destiny 2 to make it clear to the Guardian that an item will soon disappear from the game. It is usually used for seasonal or event-related items. Fuel for the “Titan will be destroyed” theorists.
What does it mean? A look into Sloane’s inventory shows 2 of the warnings:
- The planetary emblem “New-Pacifica-Archeology” is not only limited in availability
- The legendary weapon “Fast Ride” is only available for a limited time
That the weapon is stamped with a time limit is not unusual. Other NPCs from different locations always have this note with their weapons – because the directly purchasable guns rotate seasonally.
However, it gets interesting with the emblem: None of the other comparable emblems from other locations bear the label “Limited Time”. You can easily check this yourself. For example, visit Ana on Mars or Devrim in the EDZ. In any case, the weapon is limited in time, but the planetary emblem is without notes in their inventory.
This could have 3 reasons according to the theorists:
- Titan is being destroyed, therefore the specific emblem can no longer be earned
- Titan is getting a major overhaul and will be the setting of an expansion – along with a new emblem
- It is simply a bug or display error
Update – 11:30 AM: More and more players are now reporting that the timestamp of the emblem suddenly is no longer visible. They also write on MeinMMO that they could recently still read the mysterious inscription. But now there is no trace of it anymore.

The Darkness could devour whole planets
This is how destruction could occur: That the Darkness (in the form of the threatening pyramid ships) is getting closer is no longer a secret. Week after week, their fleet is growing in our solar system.
Soon our enemy will have reached Saturn with its moon Titan. Bungie has already announced some time ago that Destiny 2 cannot continuously grow. If anything can erase an entire location, it is the enemy we have been waiting for nearly 6 years.
With the destruction, Bungie would accomplish two things at once: The Darkness would be impressively presented as the greatest threat in the game. The eradication of a location would significantly declutter the game and make room for new experiences.
Many Guardians agree: If an entire location is indeed going to be wiped out, Titan would be the most obvious choice. The area is relatively small and does not offer as many relevant contents as other locations.
