Multiplayer battles of extreme sizes and entirely new possibilities can arise since everything is calculated centrally. More possibilities can be seen on YouTube. For example, a streamer can simply insert a link into his live stream to allow others to join directly.
Google Stadia has the potential to be an alternative to an expensive gaming PC for many of you. However, at the moment, the requirements are still not met for many.

We asked you what you think about Google Stadia, whether you have any first experiences with it, or if you prefer to wait. This is how you voted.
What was the survey about? Since Tuesday, Google’s new cloud-based gaming platform has been online. The first reviews are mixed and the mood among buyers is tense. We wanted to know from you in a survey what you think about Stadia, and these are the results.
These were your answers: Of the 563 MeinMMO readers who participated in the survey, here is how they voted:
- 30% of participants have no interest in Google’s new cloud-based streaming service.
- 27% have not purchased, but are still observing the streaming service.
- 14% have ordered and are satisfied with it.
- 10% definitely want to buy Stadia.
- 8% have ordered Stadia and regret their purchase.

Almost 50% are either in possession of Stadia or are still interested in it. Given the current mood and reviews, it is a surprising result.
This is why the survey is surprising: Many reviews are mixed about Stadia. However, among customers, the mood is currently rather poor due to delayed deliveries and missing activation codes.
Therefore, one would actually expect that the interest in the cloud gaming service would be lower.
However, among our readers, 27% of participants are still interested in Stadia despite the negative reports and are considering a purchase in the future. Some of you also mentioned that you anticipated these launch problems and are not surprised now.
It was to be expected that there would be problems at launch. […]

Many are willing to give the service a chance and wait to see if the service and quality improve. 10% of respondents still intend to adopt the cloud gaming service.

Among actual Stadia owners, there is a divide. Just over 1/3 of buyers are dissatisfied with their Stadia, although it is not clear whether the device itself is the issue, the poor service that many complain about, or both.
With all the negative reports, one would expect more dissatisfied customers. Criticism, such as the limited game selection, was resolved by Google just before launch. Players are waiting for other solutions:
The criticisms of Stadia: You told us in the comments under the survey why you are critical of Stadia. For example, MeinMMO reader EliazVance finds the system too inflexible. Therefore, he prefers to observe Stadia further:
I would be interested in the principle of “game streaming”, I wouldn’t mind giving up the bulky energy hog at home. But with Stadia in its current state, that’s unthinkable. I will accordingly observe it further, but as it currently looks, Stadia will not be attractive for me anytime soon.
