Players have discovered the desire 10 for the Raid Wish Fountain in Destiny 2. It was devilishly well hidden.
Here’s what these wishes are about: In the raid “Last Wish” there is a secret room with a kind of control panel. If set correctly, certain wishes in the raid come true.
Bungie itself has referred to this as a type of “cheat code” for Destiny 2, which triggers mechanics or activates Easter eggs.
This control panel has so many combinations (20 circles with 16 different symbols) that it is nearly impossible to find all wishes through trial and error. Therefore, some wishes are hidden in the world of Destiny.
This is what the 10th wish looks like: The tenth wish has this exact combination.
This is what the wish does: Once the wish is activated, the Drifter suddenly has a word to say in the raid. He then has text – just like the 9th wish Failsafe gave a voice in the raid. He is in the guardians’ heads, so to speak.
The Drifter is the key person for the new PvE/PvP mode “Gambit” in Forsaken. This is the mode Bungie is so proud of.
Bungie goes all out in hide and seek
This is how the wish was found: The truly exciting part is how extremely well the wish was hidden in Destiny 2. The exact combination of symbols was found on a plate in the game world.
When the raid boss Riven died for the first time more than a month ago, a new map for Gambit was introduced: the Cathedral of Scars. It plays in the Reef. This is the map with the central island that you can jump to.
The then-new Gambit map was intensively searched because everyone thought there had to be a new wish hidden there. However, no one could find it on the map.
But it was indeed there. The wish stands on a plate behind a crystal. However, it could only be found in the 3rd Gambit round, as the crystal blocked the view of the plate from any possible angle before.
A third Gambit round is only played if it is 1:1 after the first two rounds.
The player MadCatz, who ultimately found the 10th wish, had to jump on a ledge and then look through the scope of his sniper rifle at the spot where the crystal used to be to find the plate with wish 10.
An incredible achievement by the guardians in Destiny from Raidsecrets, who are still as hot for secrets in Destiny 2 as they were back then with the mysterious 6th chest in the Glass Chamber.
