After the design reveal of the PS5, many users are now waiting for the price and release date of the PS5. An insider has now mentioned a specific date. We explain what else besides the insider hint supports this date.
At the last event, Sony showed the first games for the PS5 and the official design. However, Sony did not comment on the price or release.
Where does the information come from? A possible date was announced by Roberto Serrano via Twitter. Serrano is currently working as a Projects Specialist Consultant (via linked.in).
What date does the source mention? Serrano mentions July 13, 2020 as a possible date. That would be the Monday in a little over two weeks.
How reliable is the source? Serrano was also correct about the postponement of the PS5 event and accurately commented on a replacement date. Nonetheless, one should approach such opinions with caution, as they do not come officially from Sony.

PS5 Price and Release – Reasons for July 2020
This also supports the possible date: The competitor Microsoft has announced several events for July 2020. This includes another episode of Xbox 20/20 as well as the Xbox Game Studios Show. However, we do not yet know an official date for this. In the first episode of Xbox 20/20, Microsoft introduced the first games for the Xbox Series X, so surely more games will follow.
According to an insider (via xboxdynasty.de), a digital event from Microsoft for the Xbox Series X is expected to be very important – especially because Sony’s reveal event has been much more successful than the Xbox event.
It has also been known for some time that Sony and Microsoft are watching each other suspiciously regarding the price of the PS5 and Xbox Series X. So, it is quite possible that Sony wants to get ahead of its competition and let important facts about the PS5 emerge.
