Call of Duty: Vanguard has a massive problem with cheaters in the beta. There should be a new anti-cheat system at work for Vanguard. However, according to insider and CoD expert Tom Henderson, that is not yet the case. Read everything about it here on MeinMMO.
What was the situation in the beta? The beta of CoD Vanguard, which was even extended until September 22, 2021, at least provides a lot of fun for part of the community, but one thing does not please honest gamers: the large number of cheaters who are plaguing the new shooter of the CoD series even before the official release.
This is surprising because the developers had promised to introduce a really solid new anti-cheat mechanism with Vanguard. However, nothing seems to be in sight, and cheaters happily use their aimbots and other horrors to cheat. So is the new anti-cheat just hot air?
What does the expert say? CoD expert Tom Henderson contradicts this. In a tweet, he claims that he has learned from his sources that the beta of CoD Vanguard does not even contain the new anti-cheat mechanism.
Rather, the old Warzone anti-cheat mechanism is still in use, which has long been compromised by hackers. So that is the reason why the nasty cheating is thriving so happily in the Vanguard beta.
Who is that anyway? Tom Henderson is a well-known expert and leaker who is very well connected in shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield. He regularly makes predictions and shares insider information that often turns out to be true. Among other things, Henderson anticipated Warzone long in advance. Nevertheless, his statements have not been officially confirmed and could therefore also be false.
Fans are skeptical about whether the new anti-cheat is any good
How do fans react to this news? Under Henderson’s tweet, enthusiasm is not exactly soaring. Some fans are wondering:
Why didn’t they implement it right away? What do they have to hide? Is the new anti-cheat technology perhaps not as strong as previously communicated?
The tweet from user JD reflects what many fans are currently thinking:
On the other hand, it could also be a plan by the developers not to reveal the new technology too soon to the “enemy.” After all, the cheaters would have weeks to hack the game and develop new cheats. By the time of release, the new anti-cheat would already be outdated.
However, various fans also believe that this will indeed be the case and that the new anti-cheat will also be destroyed by hackers in a short time.
On the hacker front, things are getting worse. There are now so many cheaters that they are already killing each other with their hacks and even complaining about it!
