For years, many have been waiting for Lost Ark, a kind of Diablo with more MMORPG elements. Now the game is approaching the second Closed Beta, and there is new information. In the second Closed Beta, players will embark on an exploration journey. They will find much more world in CBT2 than in the first Beta.
The Long Wait for the Release of Lost Ark
Lost Ark was first shown to the German audience three years ago in initial teasers. At the end of 2014, a highly regarded video article appeared on GameStar.
At that time, the impression arose: It could be released at any moment – Lost Ark already looked so polished! But a release of Lost Ark is still a long way off, not to mention its appearance here in Germany. Polished and presentable in 2014 was only a snippet of Lost Ark. The game is still in development – that takes time.
Currently, the Korean “Hack’n Slay” is approaching its second Closed Beta. The first one took place in the summer of 2016. The CBT2 of Lost Ark is now set to begin “soon” in Korea, a precise date is not yet known, but the developers have started presenting the Beta.
Lost ARK: Second Closed Beta Will Offer a Significantly Larger World
The CBT1 in summer 2016 was said to have only shown the “beginning of the adventure”; now in CBT2, it will begin. In CBT2, players will be able to set out to explore the world of Lost ARK – it is much larger than what was available in CBT1.
The developer Smilegate has released a map. Here in the screen, you can see that the area of CBT2 has grown significantly.

It seems that beings called “Doki” are relatives of the treasure goblins from Diablo. They also hoard treasures. There is also mention of a mythical king Doki.

It will surely take a while before we can get our hands on Lost Ark here in Germany. Experience shows that only a few take the effort needed to participate in a Korean Beta.
Update: The dates for the Beta are now known. The second Closed Beta of Lost Ark will take place from September 15 to September 25 in South Korea.
