Fans are not happy with what they see in the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare reveal trailer.
YouTube is not exactly known as a place of decency or a venue for intelligent, fruitful discussions. There will always be haters who want to attract ridicule, scorn, and attention with dislikes and provocative comments. That is clear. Even with reveal trailers of new games, hate is often thrown around; however, the fans of the upcoming game are usually in the majority, so the positive ratings far outweigh the negative ones – at least if the trailer is well received.
However, with the “CoD: Infinite Warfare” reveal trailer, it looks different: There’s an avalanche of bad ratings. Currently, nearly 300,000 users have given it a thumbs down, and dozens more join every minute. The gaming site Kotaku is even already talking about a mass dislike campaign against the upcoming installment of the series.

Space setting in Infinite Warfare? Not well received
The space setting does not appeal to many fans. They prefer hardcore battles on the ground. Covered in blood and dirt with a big gun in hand. Done. No silly planet hopping.
The footage in the video has nothing to do with Call of Duty; according to some users, it resembles Destiny more. Different expectations are placed on a CoD. It should rather stay true to its roots. The graphics also draw ridicule, as they were already better in last-gen.
The “Modern Warfare” remake, on the other hand, is much better received in the community; however, many fans can hardly believe that the remastered version can only be purchased alongside Infinite Warfare. Certainly also a reason why the “Like” bar below the video tends heavily to the left.
Redditor ImLuddx has summarized the reactions to the various Call of Duty trailers in a graphic – he did this yesterday, at that time the reactions to the Infinite Warfare trailer were already bad, but still much more forgiving than today:
On the other hand, the trailer at least pleases nearly 177,000 shooter fans. There is still some time until the launch, and one can expect that many feelings will have calmed down by then and they will have gotten used to the space setting. After all, nothing is as hot as it is cooked.
A satisfied face looks different
The next big reveals for Infinite Warfare are expected at E3 in June. Perhaps the developers will share some information then so that the new CoD part is not “mass-disliked” by fans anymore.
