World of Warcraft provides currently disturbing images. Because new items make your character naked. And really naked.
World of Warcraft is a game that actually places great value on keeping there is nothing particularly offensive to see. Most of the newly added clothing is quite modest and for many years Blizzard has also moved away from using a “bikini look” for most female characters.
But now there is more than just bikini look – because characters can be naked in a way that Blizzard surely did not intend.
Currently, the Brewfest is taking place in World of Warcraft. This is basically the Oktoberfest version of World of Warcraft. Here, you fight against Dark Iron Dwarves, collect plenty of rewards, and get drunk mercilessly.
New in 2025 are a whole range of quests and rewards. Among them, there are also different variants of a kilt. But it brings naked truths with it.
Update: A small hotfix has caused the kilt to now accurately display the underwear again. Terrible images like the one below are now a thing of the past.
What has been discovered? When wearing the new Brewfest kilt that you can buy from the reward vendor, you might not want to play too much with the camera. Because if you look under the skirt of your character, you will find that they are completely unclothed there. This leads to some bizarre views, like this screenshot:
What kind of bug is this? For those who don’t know: All character models of players in World of Warcraft exist in the game files in a completely naked form. The underwear is displayed in almost all cases, so players never really see their character naked.
There are various pieces of clothing, such as cloth dresses with long leg slits, where the underwear is also “hidden”. In such cases, the texture of the dress ensures that one cannot look “under the skirt”. But that seems to be the case with the new Brewfest rewards.
Blizzard is likely to fix this bug soon with a hotfix, as it could be somewhat disturbing.
But at least one can say: With this error, the Brewfest captures the Oktoberfest feel of the real world even a bit more. Whether one finds this good or bad is probably up to each individual.
Another detail regarding the clothing has been annoying players for 20 years, now a blackmail letter
is supposed to help.
