A new mount is set to become a highlight in World of Warcraft. You will soon be able to obtain a huge mech along with a shield.
With the Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance for World of Warcraft, there are plenty of new content to check out. For collectors, mounts are of course highly sought after. In addition to some stylish new Night Sabers, there is also a mount to grab in the raid “Siege of Dazar’Alor”: The large mech named “Gilded Edition G.M.O.D.”.
Where can you find the Gilded Edition G.M.O.D.? This special mech mount drops from the boss Gelbin Mekkadrill in the raid Siege of Dazar’Alor. The raid will be unlocked during Patch 8.1 and involves the Alliance’s attack on the trolls’ capital, Dazar’Alor.
Mount is part of the War Campaign: However, the G.M.O.D. is not just “any” mech, but the personal battle armor of Trade Prince Gallywix. In the War Campaign of Patch 8.1, Gallywix is seen multiple times in this mech, especially in duels against the leader of the gnomes, Gelbin Mekkadrill. However, it is not clear why we are getting Gallywix’s mount – he doesn’t seem like someone who wants to part with it.

Mount only for the Horde? In various comment sections, there have already been complaints that the mount is exclusive to the Horde because it drops from the boss Mekkadrill. However, this is not the case. Alliance players can also participate in a flashback against Mekkadrill and will even be transformed into Horde members. The mount is therefore available to both Horde and Alliance.
Speculation about the shield: Some players speculate that the large shield of the mech also provides a passive effect. Such things occasionally exist with mounts. There are mounts that can walk on water or others that allow you to gather herbs without dismounting.
