The Patch 8.1 “Tides of Vengeance” is currently active on the World of Warcraft test realm. Data miners are already busy extracting game data and finding all sorts of new content. For players of Night Elves, there will now be a few new customization options.
What customizations are available? Night Elf players who complete the achievement “In Teldrassil’s Shadow” can choose a new skin tone as a color. The special thing about it is that the corresponding faces have black eyes. Normally, Night Elves have glaring silver or golden glowing eyes.
The customization applies to both male and female characters.
Previously, Blood Elves also received new eye colors – specifically golden.
Where does the customization come from? Players receive the necessary achievement when they complete the new quest line surrounding Tyrande. It involves her ascent to a Night Warrior, which players can experience in a scenario. We have explained how this will take place in this article.
Please keep in mind that this information is still from the PTR. Until the release of Patch 8.1, it may change.
Cortyn thinks: I really like the new customization options and I hope Blizzard introduces a few more for the other races. Personally, I would have liked it if the “Night Warrior” customizations were only available for female characters, as they actually make up the priesthood of Elune. The men could have received something “druidic”. But hey! The main thing is more customizations, right?
