A really thick mount will be available soon in World of Warcraft and you can already work towards owning a real Goblin tank soon.
For a while now, Blizzard has been continually adding large, time-consuming meta achievements to World of Warcraft that span an entire expansion. These are already available for Battle for Azeroth, Shadowlands, and Dragonflight. With the Alpha of Midnight, we know that The War Within will also receive such an achievement retroactively. As is often the case, the achievement is enticing because of a fancy reward: A large tank with which you can crush everything in classic Goblin fashion.
What kind of achievement is this? The achievement “Worldsoul-Searching” is a so-called “meta achievement” of the expansion The War Within. It is a comprehensive achievement to have actively played basically all content of an expansion. This usually includes not only the story but also many hours of gameplay in various game systems.
As usual, the achievement is rewarded with a fancy mount.
What kind of mount is it? A “mount” is probably the wrong term here, as the reward is more metallic in nature and most of you will recognize it from the raid “Liberation of Lorenhall.” The “Geargrinder Mk. 11” is exactly the tank that has probably run over you a few times in the raid and thus defeated you immediately.
What do you have to do for the achievement? The meta achievement “Worldsoul-Searching” currently consists of 10 “smaller” achievements that you need to complete:
- Palace of Nerub-ar
- Liberation of Lorenhall
- Manaforge Omega
- Khazer Zaster
- Discover all flight points in Khaz Algar.
- Collect all flight glyphs in Khaz Algar.
- Complete all main and side quests in Khaz Algar.
- Collect all lore items in Khaz Algar.
- Achieve maximum renown with all starting factions.
- Unlock the Earthen as an allied race.
- Make them Xala’platt: Complete the initial campaign of The War Within.
- Pathfinder of The War Within: Reveal all areas of Khaz Algar on the map.
- Fame of the Deep Explorer: Complete a variety of achievements in the depths of The War Within.
- In Goblin mode: Complete several area achievements in Lorenhall.
- Owner of a Radiant Heart: Reach renown level 10 with the Radiance of Flame.
- Handled and steadfast: Complete a variety of achievements on K’aresh.
Basically, the achievement can be summarized as “Have experienced all content from The War Within actively.”
However, please note that this information is currently from the Alpha of Midnight. It is quite possible that changes will be made to the achievement during the Alpha of Midnight and some additional conditions – such as the reputation factions from Lorenhall – will still be added to the achievement.
One thing that is also expected to change in Midnight is the gameplay for healers: Healing is expected to change radically.
