Azerite armor from World of Warcraft is quite rare – at least so far. A hotfix now ensures that 370 gear is available regularly.
Several days ago, we reported that high-quality Azerite armor in World of Warcraft is to be made more accessible. Since this morning (10/09/2018), a hotfix is now live on the European servers that enables exactly that.
What has changed? The emissary quests occasionally reward players with an Azerite armor box. These scaled from item level 295 to 340 – but not beyond that. Now, the respective reward boxes can also drop items with item level 355 or 370 – depending on the player’s average item level.
Why was this necessary? Azerite armor is extremely valuable because it can only be obtained from very few sources, and is mostly at item level 340. Especially raiders and high-ranking PvP players had complained. They often have a high average item level and are dragged down by the Azerite slots (chest, shoulders, head).
The problem is exacerbated because Azerite armor cannot be “war forged” and players also need several sets of items to fulfill multiple roles.
When will there be rewards? When exactly Azerite armors are available as rewards for emissary quests depends on chance. Every day, there is a new emissary quest, for which players must complete three to four world quests. The rewards for this are random – so it may take several days before players see a strong Azerite armor for the first time.
