Earning gold is a struggle for many players in World of Warcraft. After all, gold is not only necessary to stock up on potions and enchantments. The daily repair costs after dungeon and raid visits also need to be covered.
But in the last few days, farming gold has become a simple game that requires only a few minutes of effort.
How does the gold farming work? Collecting gold in WoW is known to be done in many different ways. But if you don’t want to engage in endless farming of old raids or auction house speculation, which requires a lot of time and knowledge, you can currently also make it simpler.

If you collect another 10,000 reputation points after reaching revered status, you will receive a Paragon reward chest. These chests contain:
- 500 War Resources
- Bonus currencies (for example, from 7th Legion, Proudmoore Admiralty, and Nazjatar)
- Occasionally toys or pets
- approximately 3,500 to 5,500 gold
It is precisely this gold reward that you want to get. You receive it again and again whenever you open a Paragon chest.
The necessary reputation is primarily gained by completing world quests. If you want to increase your yield here, you should especially complete world quests that offer one of the following rewards:
- Gold
- Reputation bonus (this is also doubled)
- Equipment items (which can be sold)
World quests with Artifact Power or War Resources as rewards can generally be ignored.
Always complete ship missions: Ship missions significantly help with reputation collecting. Always send your followers to complete missions that grant a reputation bonus.
Here, too, the reputation is doubled. Particularly the reputation with the “Champions of Azeroth” can be quickly increased this way. They often have missions that give a standard 400 reputation.
Together with the reputation buff and bonus objectives, a single mission can yield over 1,000 reputation! And that for just a few clicks.
Maximize reputation gain with small tips: To get the maximum amount of reputation for minimal effort, you should primarily complete your emissary quests every 1-3 days. These yield 3,000 reputation points with the respective faction thanks to the bonus – that alone corresponds to 30% of a Paragon chest.
Think of Mechagon! There is a world quest every day worth nearly 1,600 reputation points. This is usually completed quickly and often only requires tasks like “Kill 3 rare enemies” or “Open 6 chests.” With a flying mount, this is a matter of a few minutes, which will result in a Paragon chest in a few days.
You should also complete your weekly quest for the island expedition. Because this quest also gives a hefty 3,000 reputation points with the 7th Legion (Alliance) or the Proudmoore Admiralty (Horde). For this, you simply need to visit 3-6 islands per week (depending on difficulty).
This is usually done in less than half an hour. Additionally, this quest gives a mission for your ship, which can also provide a significant gold bonus.
How much gold can be earned? Those who follow all the tips should be able to open 1-2 Paragon chests on average every day. This corresponds to approximately a value of 7,500 gold for just a few minutes of effort per day. Those who diligently complete all quests can further increase their yield.
This method scales with multiple characters: Those who have multiple characters at level 120 and have achieved revered status with all factions can multiply their yield. Because this whole process can naturally be repeated on multiple characters to further increase gold earnings.
How long will this last? The reputation buff is only active until May 18th – so for about 2 more weeks. Those who are constantly short on cash should take advantage of the buff to secure one or more Paragon chests and build a solid gold reserve for Shadowlands. Because even there, all the comforts like potions, enchantments, and repairs will certainly not get cheaper. Especially when considering that professions will have to work together in Shadowlands.
Sure – this method won’t make you a WoW millionaire overnight. But it is an easy and reliable way to build a small cushion of gold that will help you get through the next expansion Shadowlands.
