In World of Warcraft, there are currently twice as many events – and thus also twice as many opportunities to earn cool stuff.
In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, there is currently a major content drought, yet spending time in Azeroth can still be worthwhile. Several Timewalking events are currently active, promising particularly quick progress or more varied leveling. Perfect for killing some time or leveling up Twinks.
What is going on in World of Warcraft right now? In Shadowlands, several bonus events are overlapping. A double amount of Timewalking events is active, allowing you to visit both the adjusted dungeons from “Legion” and those from “The Burning Crusade”.
With this, you also receive a quest for loot for both dungeon contents and – importantly – upon completing the first Timewalking of each type at level 60, a quest starter item that rewards 500 Timewarped Badges.
What does this have to do with leveling? Thanks to Timewalking, the dungeons from Legion and “The Burning Crusade” are also interesting for players at max level. Therefore, groups for these dungeons form quite quickly, which can also be leveraged by players leveling up. After all, Timewalking dungeons provide a large amount of XP – around one level depending on current progress and the dungeon. This makes leveling fast.
What rewards are there? A whole lot, because the Timewalking system has been expanded over the years. In addition to solid starter gear for Twinks at level 60, there are particularly enticing transmog items, as well as various toys and mounts for Timewarped Badges. Each Timewalking event has its own vendor with unique rewards.
Even if you should have everything from the current event, you can still collect badges for one of the other Timewalking events to get any missing mounts or toys there.
Last chance for the Mage Tower: The start of this new WoW week also marks the last chance to complete the Mage Tower in a timely manner. The Mage Tower is a “new” feature from patch 9.1.5 that is only active during the Timewalking: Legion event. Here, players can earn special transmog sets and even a flying book as a mount – if they can complete the challenges.
Currently, this event is active for the first time and thus lasted a solid 4 weeks. In the future, the event will only return approximately every 4 months and then only for one week each time.
So, anyone who wants to start the year 2022 with cool skins and a nice mount should complete the Mage Tower before it temporarily closes its doors again.
