The next WoW expansion brings cool, new cosmetic options. Your heroes can get wings!
One of the main keywords of the upcoming expansion of World of Warcraft is “Customization”, meaning the ability to customize your character as desired. There are new options in Shadowlands, as the developers have more ideas with the cloak, partially replacing it with cool, new items.
What new “cloaks” are there? During BlizzCon 2019, the developers showcased some designs of the upcoming cloak variants. There were quite cool things to see, such as:
- Wings in various shapes and colors. From angelic white wings to dark black wings, there were several variants.
- Various runes and symbols that have significance in the Shadowlands.
- “Halos” that float above the back.
Where can these items be found? So far, we know that these forms of “cloaks” are available through the covenants that players can complete in Shadowlands. All players must choose a covenant and experience a specific campaign associated with that covenant. One of the many rewards for the covenants are these new cloak variants, with which you can further customize your character.
Backpacks caused an uproar: New back items had previously caused discontent among players. The first item of this kind, a backpack, can only be unlocked through the new “Refer a Friend” system. Many players found this unfair and voiced their frustration. With Shadowlands, there are finally more customization options that can be obtained without needing to recruit friends.
