The race for the First Kills in the Crucible of Storms of World of Warcraft is on. A professional guild relies solely on Priests – they make up 50% of the raid.
In World of Warcraft, there is currently another “little” World-First race going on. The Crucible of Storms has been available in its mythic version since today (April 24) and big raid guilds like Method (EU) and Limit (US) are trying their hand at the two boss fights. Especially the Priest class is highly sought after there.
Limit relies on 50% Priests: The American professional guild Limit has brought in a particularly high number of Priests for the first boss. In total, eight Shadow Priests and two Discipline Priests ensure that the Priests represent half of the entire raid. If there had been even more Priests available, even more would have been brought in. Shadow Priests are currently the undefeated DPS kings in fights against multiple targets at once. The nerf probably won’t help: Although Blizzard has already announced a nerf for Shadow Priests, a large part of the player base assumes that the nerfs will not be sufficient. The dominance of the Shadow Priest seems at least untouchable in the current raid Crucible of Storms.
Method takes a mixed approach: The European professional guild Method currently relies on a bit more variety in the raid. Almost all classes are represented there. With four Priests and five Warlocks, the keyword here also seems to be “multi-dotting”. Whether this will lead to success remains to be seen.

How is the race for the First Kills going? So far, the guilds are still struggling against the Restless Cabal. This is because the boss has extremely high health points and it seems almost impossible to defeat the boss within the time limit until the enrage timer. The Crucible of Storms was originally planned as a “mid-raid” that should not pose significant obstacles. Blizzard’s tuning seems to be somewhat flawed at first glance.
